Miam Miam

Yesterday with the three qts:)
The food was a little below expectation..It was good but.. not good enough and just not on point I could say. Take the ice cream looking but actually just thick cream in disguise for example. The french toast would be perfect if it was really a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Before meeting them, I went out of the way to takashimaya to get my book from Kinokuniya. 'Invisible Monsters' by Chuck Palahniuk. BUT IT WAS OUT OF STOCK. Then I saw 'Doomed' but THEY DIDN'T HAVE 'DAMNED'. Its a trilogy I can't skip the first book right.. So I got 'Choke' in the end. Before I decided, I was considering getting Alexa Chung's book..right until I got to it at the shelfs. If I got it,  I wouldn't get much change back for any desserts. But I swear I whispered to myself "so pretty" when I held it in my hands. And I wonder if I'll ever get it hehe

From today..Went running in the morning and saw this big group of students with cameras on camera stands all in the same direction. I thought they were noobs capturing the waves or a crab on the sand UNTIL I saw the sunrise. Being as noob as I can get. And the rest of the day just spent sewing drawstring pouches!
Supper with Ming Zhen in a while and heading to Bintan tomorrow with mommy! Super stoked to get somewhere out of Singapore, any place will do. Hopefully it'll be super sunny and it doesn't rain!!
Okay Bye!:)

A Walk

Took a walk with mom by the East Coast beach!
On the way back, the dark clouds came and it was SO cooling like the entire park was air conditioned. No the cold breeze was more satisfying than air condition. Tried this singapore version of Thai coconut ice cream and it was so yummy!!!

Can't be lazy no more ☝

Time to start fulfilling the second New Year's resolution of 2014. That is to get up and move about more often. Now that I don't have a sports CCA, I'm relying on self discipline to get just a little more in shape, hopefully. The book I completed was super super good. Like legit hilarious and witty throughout. I miss the old man Allan already.

"But I think a lot of people really should consider the possibility of climbing out of their window. My perspective is that we only live once, I cannot be sure but that is what I believe. I think that if you've once asked yourself: 'Should I...' then the answer should be: 'Yes!' Otherwise, how would you ever get to know that you shouldn't."

Nothing Beats A Good Read

Happy Birthday Tammy

Managed to surprise Tams with Faith and Reena on her birthday! She was at Timbre for dinner with her family when we crept up behind her hehehe her look of disbelief was priceless:)

It finally rained after months! And it is still raining right now. Much needed rain to bring the greenery back. Just been finishing my book up.. ('The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window And Disappeared') and it's been such an enjoyable read. Managed to make PaJeon for the first time today and simple cooking like this boosts my confidence in cooking because you can hardly go wrong but you still get something that tastes heavenly.
Will be heading out with aunt and mom tonight!
Bye:)

Pleasing Others

Is it too late to have another New Year's Resolution? I feel it too often where I try to please others as if I live for them. The things I do, the things I sacrifice, the decisions I make, revolves too much around the people that I try to make happy. And when I do otherwise, it affects me way more than it should. Especially when I know I won't get anything close to a sacrifice in return. (When I should ever need one.) I wish to live and breathe for myself? Because it definitely feels like the more you give, the more they expect, but the less they appreciate.

You can’t live your life for other people. You’ve got to do what’s right for you, even if it hurts some people you love.

Pisces:

Everyone thinks you are his or her special friend, that they have your undivided attention. You’re thought of as solicitous and concerned. You’re also known as a sparkling social presence — witty, vivacious, and always interested in new activities. People consider you artistic and somewhat bohemian, and are impressed by your physic sensibility. They value you as a confidant but, oddly, the more people lean on you, the weaker they think you are.
